Privacy Policy

Clever Labs Pty Ltd (“Clever Labs”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. In practice that means:

• Contact enquiries. Your name, email address, and optionally your company name, indicative budget and the description of your project that you submit through our contact form or send to support@cleverlabs.com.au.
• Correspondence. The content of emails and messages you send us, and our replies.
• Aggregate site analytics. Anonymous, aggregated information about how the site is used — pages viewed, referring site, approximate country, device type. This is not linked to you and cannot be used to identify you.

We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, and we do not ask for payment details through this website.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics are cookieless and collect no personal identifiers, which is why you are not being asked to accept a cookie banner.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• respond to your enquiry and correspond with you about it;
• provide services you have engaged us for;
• maintain business records as required by Australian law;
• understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.

We do not send marketing email unless you have specifically asked us to, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only to the extent they need it. These currently include our website host, our email delivery provider and our email provider. Each is bound by its own privacy obligations.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia. Where that is the case we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We may also disclose information where required by law, a court order, or a regulator.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry data is limited to people who need it to respond to you. We hold information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as we are legally required to, and then we delete it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@cleverlabs.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days. There is no charge for this. If we cannot action a request, we will explain why in writing.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at support@cleverlabs.com.au so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes will be noted on this page.
